About BRPTravel.co.uk
A free resource helping UK residents with eVisas explore the world with confidence.
Our Mission
BRPTravel.co.uk was created with a simple goal: to help UK residents who hold eVisas (formerly Biometric Residence Permits) understand exactly where they can travel without the hassle of a traditional embassy visa.
Millions of people live and work in the United Kingdom on immigration visas tied to the eVisa system. When it comes to booking a holiday or planning a trip, the question "where can I actually go?" is surprisingly difficult to answer. Official government resources are spread across dozens of websites, embassy information is often contradictory, and most travel guides are written for British passport holders who face entirely different entry requirements.
We built this site to fill that gap. Every country page on BRPTravel.co.uk is researched specifically from the perspective of a UK eVisa holder — not a British citizen, not a tourist from another country, but someone who lives in the UK and holds a non-British passport with digital immigration status.
What Happened to BRPs?
All UK Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) expired on 31 December 2024. The Home Office provided a grace period until 1 June 2025, after which the UK immigration system became fully digital. Your immigration status is now held electronically as an eVisa, accessible through your UKVI online account.
While the physical BRP card is gone, the travel landscape for UK residents with immigration visas remains largely the same. That is why we kept the BRPTravel name — it is what people search for, and the community of travellers it serves has not changed.
How We Research Our Information
Every country guide and travel recommendation on this site is based on research from authoritative sources, including:
- Official embassy and consulate websites for each destination country
- UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) travel advice
- IATA Timatic — the database used by airlines to verify passenger travel documents
- Immigration law firms and qualified advisers who specialise in UK visa matters
- Community reports from UK eVisa holders who have recently travelled
We review and update our information regularly. However, immigration rules can change at short notice. We always recommend verifying entry requirements directly with the relevant embassy or consulate before booking your travel.
